News: Tudor reveals two Pelagos x Alinghi Red Bull Racing models
The innovative spirit of Tudor and Alinghi combine to create two new Pelagos FXD “Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition” models. The releases celebrate the partnership between the watchmaker and yachting team which began in 2022—the first time Tudor has ventured into the world of competitive yacht racing.
Both models—the time-only and the chronograph—boast matte-black cases made of carbon composite with fixed strap bars and titanium bi-directional rotatable bezels with a matching matte-black-finished carbon composite insert.
What’s more, both carbon and titanium are materials found on the Alinghi Red Bull Racing yacht—the AC75—as is the nautical navy-blue and red found on the watches’ dials, too. A subtle “Alinghi Red Bull Racing” is mentioned on the rehaut between 10 and 2 o’clock. The signature square hour-markers and “Snowflake” hands are, of course, also present.
Powering the Pelagos FXD Chrono is the Manufacture Calibre MT5813. It boasts a “weekend-proof” 70-hour power reserve and displays hours, minutes, seconds, a chronograph and the date.
Whereas the Manufacture Calibre MT5602 powers the time-only Pelagos FXD. Its power reserve is also “weekend-proof” enabling the wearer to take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to wind it.
Both pieces come on a single-piece fabric strap in the Alinghi Red Bull Racing colours of navy and red.
One thing’s for sure, we hope the relationship between Tudor and Alinghi Red Bull Racing continues for years to come. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
