News: Audemars Piguet releases NEW ‘End of Days’ Royal Oak Offshore

Audemars Piguet has unveiled its new ‘End of Days’ model—reference 26420CE—to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rugged Royal Oak Offshore.

Paying homage to the original ‘End of Days’ Royal Oak Offshore that was released in 1999 in collaboration with none other than on-screen action man, Arnold Schwarzenegger, this is a limited edition watch of just 500 pieces.

Featuring a beefy 43mm black ceramic case and bezel, this watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and boasts a cool black dial with Mega Tapisserie pattern and yellow accents on the hour markers and hands. It also has an applied gold AP logo at 12 o'clock with chronograph counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.

It is powered by the Swiss automatic Audemars Piguet in-house calibre 4401 with 40 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 70 hours. Flip this piece over and you can admire the 22k rose-gold rotor with coloured NAC process to give it an anthracite grey hue, plus, further decoration including Cotes de Genève, circular graining, sunray finishing, circular satin finishing and polished bevels.

The piece comes on a black calfskin leather strap with textile effect and yellow stitching, to tie in with the black and yellow colourway. An additional interchangeable strap in yellow calfskin with black stitching is also included.

If you like the sound of this bulky Arnie-inspired watch and fancy yourself as a bit of an action man, then, this AP is for you. It’ll set you back a bit, though, coming in at a whopping $60,300 MSRP.
