Feature: Panerai Updates Its Submersible Range With The QuarantaQuattro

A staple within Panerai’s offering, the Submersible now welcomes some more members to the family. The new QuarantaQuattro Submersible comes in a 44mm case, joining the current sizes in the Submersible line of 42mm and the whopping 47mm—making sure there is a watch fit for everyone in this beloved collection.

All the essential hallmarks of the Submersible family remain in the QuarantaQuattro. It’s water-resistant up to 300 meters, with that huge, yet iconic, patented crown-protecting device. What’s more, a uni-directional rotating bezel to measure submersion time and luminous metallic appliques providing top legibility make the watch an indispensable diving instrument.

Powering the QuarantaQuattro is the P.900 calibre which features a seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock and supplies an impressive three-day power reserve.

Though there are a number of watches to choose from in this new range, in an array of different colours and materials, we are particularly swooning over this deep blue number, the ref. PAM01232.

Featuring a classic rubber strap this watch flaunts a rich blue hue across both the strap and dial, as well as benefiting from a handy date window at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock.

Now onto the case, which is made from the brand’s lightest material on offer, Carbotech—a composite based on carbon fibre. Benefits of this material include, it’s light, has a high resistance to corrosion and scratching, plus it’s remarkably strong. The crown is made from titanium DLC and comes in a similar black hue that harmonizes with the Carbotech construction. It's further proof that the finest luxury watches can come in the latest materials as well as conventional gold and platinum.

We reckon the Submersible collection is about to gain a whole new mass of fans after this enticing release.
