The standout feature of the Day-Date is the prominent day and date display, located at the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions respectively. Both displays change instantaneously at midnight and the day disk comes in multiple languages, from English to Japanese. This pioneering complication set a new benchmark in the watchmaking industry.

The Day-Date is only made in 18k yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and platinum, reflecting its elevated status within the Rolex family. Current models are equipped with the self-winding Calibre 3255, ensuring superior accuracy, reliability, and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The date function, displayed at the 3 o'clock position, is equipped with the brand’s signature Cyclops lens for easy reading.

Within the Rolex Day-Date collection, two prominent models emerge: the Rolex Day-Date 36 and the Rolex Day-Date 40.

The Rolex Day-Date 36, as the name suggests, features a case diameter of 36mm, making it a classic and timeless choice. Conversely, the Rolex Day-Date 40 boasts a slightly larger case diameter of 40mm, giving it a more contemporary and bold look.
