Self-taught designer Jalil Rahman is the mastermind behind this fashion forward footwear. He drew from the understated sophistication of British heritage, while embracing the more dramatic colours of today’s fashion. Inspiration for Rahman’s concept came in the form of the Victorian explorer Alfred Russel Wallace, and the vibrantly coloured paintings of the birds of paradise that the biologist had witnessed in the Malay Archipelago.
The result? Expertly constructed shoes that are available in a wide variety of colours and styles. Handmade in the heart of Northampton, the shoes undergo over 200 crafting processes before being sold. Only the finest textiles and techniques are used in the creation of the footwear, ensuring the very best of quality.
The shoes are available in colours to suit every taste, from hot pink and sky blue to classic browns and blacks, as well as a number of textiles, from patent leather to suede. Rahman designed his footwear for the bold and the brave, men not afraid to pursue their passion—just as Rahman himself did.
Initially selling by word of mouth and creating bespoke orders for clients, the award-winning company has since unveiled a new website, and is taking the world by storm. Celebrity clients include Elton John and Alan Carr, and there are even rumours that the Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has expressed an interest in snapping up a pair.
