News: Omega 1957 Trilogy

If you're even vaguely familiar with Omega, you'll know the watchmaker is quite partial to a limited edition, especially for an anniversary. But hold your collective sighs, because this new trio of limited editions is well worth a proper look. Sixty years ago, in 1957, Omega released three watches that changed its fortunes forever. Moving away from the slender, dressy designs typical of the watchmaker, Omega launched a triple threat line-up with a sportier, chunkier aesthetic. Those three watches were the Speedmaster, Railmaster and the Seamaster 300.

Omega 1957 Trilogy

To celebrate six decades since those seminal models were released, Omega has produced limited edition versions of all three—and these aren't half-baked imitations of the originals, these are sympathetic reeditions that match both the size and aesthetic of the watches they owe their heritage to. Limited to 3,557 pieces each, or as a boxed collection of three to 557, these 60th anniversary pieces offer and authentic alternative to vintage originals. Even the boxes have been based on the '57 versions.
