As in the name, this watch is geared up for those elegant dressy occasions and, boy, will it make an impression! What’s particularly impressive about this watch, though, is the dial’s combination of lacquer made from the sap of the urushi trees found under Mount Iwate and iron—which creates its deep black colour. Grand Seiko Kodo Constant Force Tourbillon
Grand Seiko wooed watch fans worldwide when it unveiled this grandiose limited-edition tourbillon piece at this year’s Watches and Wonders. Featuring an uber-cool skeletonised dial, this is one of the brand’s few tourbillon watches, although it could fool you otherwise. A display of GS’s exquisite craftmanship in finishing and technical know-how, this would set you back a staggering £310,000 RRP—yikes.
