This limited-edition Omega Speedmaster Professional was created to commemorate NASA’s Skylab 4. The 1973 mission was the third and final manned project to the first American Space Station.

The watch bears the mission patch on its dial. The patch features emblems which NASA believe best encapsulated the main aims of the mission. The insignia features a tree which represents earth’s natural environment and a hydrogen atom, symbolising the mission’s exploration of solar physics. The final image is the silhouette of a man as a reminder that it is humankind’s duty to tie both environmental and solar physics together. The names of the crew members feature underneath a number 3, demarcating the mission as the third manned venture to the Skylab.

The caseback highlights the Speedmaster professional’s greatest achievement, reminding the wearer that it is the first watch worn on the moon and has been used by NASA for all its manned space missions.
