Watch Summary
This Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is 1 of 1500, it features a GMT function and JLC’s compressor case. The GMT function is important for wearers who aren’t always in daylight, the time can be set to either clarify whether it is AM or PM or to set two different time zones on the watch. The piece features a ‘half turn for full release’ crown which is colour coded, blue for open and white for closed, the purpose of this crown is so that divers can operate the watch with either gloved or wet hands. The operational indicator, which is an essential feature for a dive watch, is a horizontal blue and white bar which turns within the watch. The rotating bar serves as a re-imagining of the standard operational indicator which is usually served by the constant seconds hand.
