News: Moritz Grossmann Tefnut

Hailing from the stronghold of German watchmaking, Glashütte-based Moritz Grossmann is a small, independent manufacture that has only been growing in reputation since its inception in 2008. The brand’s watchmaking ethos is based on the tenets of German watchmaker Moritz Grossmann, who had his own workshop in the German town more than 100 years ago.

Its Tefnut line is a subtly sophisticated range of watches, with pieces for both men and women available. This exquisite model is a limited edition, numbered to only 150 pieces, and available in both 18k rose and white gold, as well as stainless steel. The slender hands are manually-crafted, designed specifically for the Tefnut watch line.

A beautifully understated watch, the case is just 8.5mm thick and 39mm in diameter—the perfect size for a dress watch. Gold numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock are interspersed by elegant indices on a solid silver dial, which is available in charcoal or argente.

As with all of the brand’s timepieces, the Tefnut’s movement is inspired by the designs and ideas of Moritz Grossmann. The manually-wound, in-house caliber 102 beats at 21,600vph and offers a reserve of power for up to 48 hours when fully wound.
