News: Jaeger-LeCoultre M?tiers Rares Models

Watchmaking is an art, and with a new collection of three exceptional pieces, Jaeger-LeCoultre has demonstrated just how much skill and expertise haute horlogerie truly requires.

The first in the series, the Master Grande Tradition ? R?p?tition Minutes, takes inspiration from post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh?s Starry Night Over the Rhone. For each of the 18 pieces available, an expert Jaeger-LeCoultre enamellist hand-painted the famous composition onto the dial, sealing it with Grand Feu enamel. The watch is powered by the in-house calibre 942, which features a pleasantly rich-sounding minute repeater.

The Master Grand Tourbillon Enamel features paillonn? enamelling, a process mastered in Jaeger-LeCoultre?s M?tiers Rares Atelier. The technique, which takes years of practise to master, involves cutting small pieces of silver and yellow gold leaf foil to create a speckled, glimmering effect on the dial. Above 6 o?clock, a spectacular tourbillon sits amidst the deep blue of the watch face.

Featuring both open-working and enamelling on its dial, the Master Grande Tradition ? Quanti?me Perp?tuel 8 Jours SQ combines contemporary styling with elegant artistry. Inspired by a 1928 Grand Complication pocket watch, the piece is equipped with the calibre 876SQ, one of the most highly regarded complications ever produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre.
