News: A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Thin

At the beginning of 2016, and to the delight of lovers of elegant dress watches worldwide, A. Lange & Söhne released an updated version of the Saxonia Thin. The slimmest watch by the brand to date, the watch measured 40mm by just 5.9mm. But variety is the spice of life, and now the prestigious German watchmaker has produced the Saxonia Thin with a slightly smaller diameter.

Available in both 18k rose or white gold, the watch now also comes in a 37mm-sized case. The movement is still the superb in-house, German-made L093.1, which is incredibly just 2.9mm thick. The movement beats at 21,600vph and offers a power reserve of 72 hours, and is decorated and assembled by hand, featuring beautiful and intricate A. Lange & Söhne finishing.

Understated baton hour markers in solid gold are complemented by the slim and sophisticated rhodiumed gold hands. The argenté-coloured silver dial is impeccably clean and uncluttered; combined with its width, the watch in quintessentially vintage-styled. Available on a black or red-brown, hand-stitched alligator strap, this piece is the very essence of classic, high-end timekeeping.
