IWC Portuguese Chrono IW371426

The IWC Portuguese is heralded by many as one of the best looking watches ever designed, and its distinctive class and effortless style attract many customers to IWC’s doors. This does, however, present the potential issue of exclusivity, so what better way to see to it that it never becomes an issue by purchasing a one-off IWC?

Built as a special museum piece for the 2003 BaselWorld watch show, it contains 266 flawless white diamonds totalling 2.88 carats that can be found set on the dial, on the pushers and along the 18k white gold case too. All the diamonds are brilliantly cut, are Top Wesselton and internally flawless. Wesselton refers to a specific diamond mine where the colour of the diamonds were towards the whitest end of the colour grade, F and G, and now the term is used in parts of Europe to describe diamond colour.

This Portuguese has even been given a special model number that won’t be seen anywhere else – IW371426 – and presents a truly unique and exciting opportunity for someone looking to add a special watch to their collection.
